About
Hi, my name is Markus Schmidt, I am a Paris based composer, producing mostly video games soundtracks – as well as music for other medias such as film, TV, trailers and music libraries.
My credits include over 40 video game titles, including AAA titles — such as Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (Midway), The Settlers 7 (Ubisoft) or Gothic 4 (JoWooD) — selling millions of units worldwide. I have contributed to over 30 international music library CDs and produced several TV themes such as The Chronicals of Narnia’s TV spot theme (Buena Vista Games) and Ridley Scott’s The Company TV trailer.
Together with my partners from Dynamedion Sounddesign, one of Europe’s leading audio production studio for video games, we have been rewarded 5 years successively with the Best Game Soundtrack of the year Award at the Game Developers Awards in Germany (Deutscher Entwicklerpreis) — in 2009 for the Anno 1404 score.
My work includes live orchestra productions, live played instruments mixed with computer based productions as well as custom electronic sounddesign.
I am always happy to meet other professionals, so do not hesitate to contact me!
Kind regards,
Markus Schmidt.
